M.M. Buckner is winner of the Phillip K. Dick Award and author of five critically acclaimed novels: Hyperthought, Neurolink, War Surf, Watermind and The Gravity Pilot. Her work has been published in five languages, and Barnes & Nobel ranked Watermind in the Top Ten in its category for 2009. Mary holds a Master’s in Creative Writing from Boston University.
Buckner is co-founder and senior editor of TurnStyle Writers, an editing, coaching and instruction service for writers. Her short stories have appeared in Apex Digest, and poetry in Mythic Delirium. Other publishing credits include creative nonfiction, magazine features, blogs and content for many websites. She is a member of the Women’s National Book Association, Nashville Writers Alliance, Tennessee Writers Alliance, Tennessee Mountain Writers, and Science Fiction Writers of America. She is also a freelance marketing writer, and her advertising copy has earned two Diamond Addies, three NAMA awards, including Best of Show, numerous Golden Quills and other professional awards.
Buckner is currently at work on her sixth novel,to be set in Scotland. She lives in Nashville, TN with her husband and one cat named “Trouble.”
